Conditions for obtaining long-term resident status in Belgium
If you hold long-term resident status in another European Union Member State (except Denmark, Ireland, United Kingdom), you may also apply to settle in Belgium for more than 3 months.
You will need to demonstrate that you will not become an unreasonable burden on public finances, by proving:
Salaried employment
You must obtain a work permit B, through the simplified procedure for EC long-term residents.
Self-employment
You will need to apply for a professional card.
Sufficient income
For example, if you are a private income earner, you will need to provide evidence of regular and transferable income.
